Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role for a Trauma Therapist based in Brooklyn, NY, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Trauma Therapist will provide individual and group counseling services to clients affected by trauma, develop personalized treatment plans, and monitor client progress. Additional responsibilities include conducting trauma assessments, delivering psychoeducation, and collaborating with community organizations to ensure holistic support. The therapist will also contribute to program development and provide guidance on trauma-informed best practices.
Qualifications- Proficiency in trauma therapy techniques, counseling, and case management
- Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and experience working with diverse and underserved populations
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills
- Ability to develop and implement treatment plans and facilitate group therapy sessions
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field with appropriate licensure (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, etc.)
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in trauma-informed care
- Experience with electronic health records and proficiency in Microsoft Office
