Role Summary
Medical Specialist, Dermatology - Los Angeles North (MS) is responsible for engaging dermatology physicians and other key customers with clinically focused sales messaging that resonates and drives action. The role requires a high degree of integrity and adherence to our core beliefs and values, operating in a fast-paced, results-oriented, customer-focused environment. The position involves developing strategy and executing tactics within key dermatology accounts, building strong professional relationships, collaborating with regional and home-office teams, analyzing market dynamics to support brand objectives, and promoting sales through industry events and medical conferences.
Responsibilities- Developing strategy and executing tactics within key accounts in the Dermatology therapeutic area
- Establishing and fostering strong working relationships with health care professionals, including nurses, office staff, key patient advocacy support groups
- Collaborating with regional colleagues, as well as other field-based and home office personnel teams to proactively address customer needs
- Analyzing market dynamics and trends to develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives
- Engaging in initiatives to promote sales success such as industry related congresses, local and regional meetings and medical conferences
- Required:
Bachelor’s degree. - Preferred:
Master’s degree or other advanced education/certifications. - Required:
Minimum of 5 years’ pharmaceutical sales experience in specialty pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical environments. - Required:
Minimum of 2 years’ selling in the Immunology market or a similar subcutaneous self-injectable biologic specialty market (dermatology experience preferred). - Preferred:
Dermatology experience. - Required:
Proven success and consistent sales performance in complex markets across diverse customer segments.
- Strategic thinking and ability to translate brand strategy into actionable plans
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration with internal and external partners
- Ability to analyze market dynamics and healthcare trends
- Proactive learning regarding disease states, treatment options, and healthcare trends
- Effectively connecting work to the overarching brand strategy and adapting focus as needed
- Integrity and ethics/compliance oriented
- Required:
Ability to travel and cover large geographic territories. - Required:
Residence within the listed territory.
