Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement innovative programs for children and families.
• Identify and diagnose communication and oropharyngeal disorders.
• Provide habilitation, rehabilitation, and prevention services.
• Refer families to appropriate medical or professional resources as needed.
• Assist in the development of Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs).
• Guide parents and professionals in understanding developmental status.
• Deliver both center-based and home-based therapy services
  .
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team using a family‑centered approach.
• Train parents and professionals through workshops and one‑on‑one support.
• Travel statewide as required for service delivery and training.
• Support childcare and child development activities as needed.

• Education
  :
  Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Licensure
  :
  Current SLP license from the State of New Mexico.
• Certification
  :
  Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA.
• Preferred
  :
  Bilingual skills (Spanish).
• Other Requirements
  :
  • Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
  • Background check and post‑offer drug screen.
