Working as a Supervisor of the Home Based team
, you will supervise a team of highly qualified clinicians that provide services in the community. This role provides supervision for assigned staff, including hiring, training, monitoring, evaluating. In addition, this role provides coordination and assignment of services to a variety of consumers within the system of care. You will ensure that consumer requests for services are responded to in a timely manner and that consumer wants, needs, and desires are assessed thoroughly.

This position also includes documentation reviews, crisis consultation, and a high degree of coordination with other treatment teams.

• Homebased Supervisor requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or related field.
• Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) preferred;
  Limited Licensed Master Social Worker (LLMSW), Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP);
  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and valid Michigan Driver’s license.
• Minimum of five years’ experience working with youth with serious emotional disturbance and their families is required.
• Two years’ administrative and supervisory experience in a mental health setting is preferred.

You will have knowledge of the DSM-5, co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, culturally responsive interventions, evidence-based and promising practice interventions. You will be familiar with psychotropic medications and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing work environment. The ideal candidate will be flexible and adaptive to changes in policies and procedures, assist in meeting outcome measures and provide excellent clinical service to consumers.

Physical Efforts – Job demands include prolonged sitting and standing as appropriate. May occasionally require light lifting up to 25 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or bending as appropriate. Requires coordination of hands and/or eye/hand/foot.

Working Conditions – Office environment with noise from computers, copy machines, and telephones. Use of computer screen for periods in excess of 30 minutes at a time. Possible eyestrain from extended periods of viewing computer screen. Travel throughout the Kalamazoo area is required.
