Description & RequirementsMaximus is seeking a Clinical Program Manager to provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Iowa CSA program, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, timely, and compliant clinical assessments. This role leads the day‑to‑day operations of the clinical assessments team, ensuring clinical workflows and contact SLAs are met and assessments are completed accurately and within required time frames. Serving as a clinical subject matter expert, the Clinical Manager supports assessment quality, consistency, and adherence to program standards while guiding clinical staff and addressing complex clinical questions.
This position partners closely with senior leadership, IT, and internal stakeholders to identify system or workflow gaps, resolve issues impacting clinical operations, and implement process improvements that support effective clinical service delivery and contract compliance.
Position is contingent upon contract award.
This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must reside in the state of Iowa and be willing to travel up to 10% to Des Moines based on business needs.
About the Program: The IA CSA (Iowa Core Standardize Assessments) will conduct clinical assessments for individuals seeking enrollment into all Iowa Medicaid Waivers or to conduct clinical reassessments for Medicaid Waiver Recipients.

- Supervise a designated team of unit staff
- Responsible for the training and development of unit staff
- Monitor the activities, schedules, productivity and work product results of the assigned unit
- Review clinical documentation including pending denials for each assigned staff member in real-time
- Collect QA information from assigned staff
- Disseminate policy, protocol change, and ensure implementation
- Lead regular team meetings and act as the point-person for assigned staff
- Conduct scheduled and random post-assessment home visits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Promote project image and goals through public speaking engagements and local professional presentations
- Meet all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by Management
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
Residency in the state of Iowa required
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience conducting clinical assessments
