Job SummaryEvaluate and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, fluency, auditory (re) habilitation, and swallowing/oral feeding disorders. Educate and counsel patients and families. Provide independent therapeutic services and identify area(s) of clinical specialization and competency. Supervise graduate students as assigned in clinical specialty area. Participate actively in identifying and conducting quality improvement activities. Collaborate with clinical practice team to achieve patient outcomes and system objectives.

Schedule: Flexible PRN Hours (1-2 days per week, Monday-Friday)
Vanderbilt Home Care Services has delivered high-quality home health care across Middle Tennessee for more than 40 years. Our team of 175 licensed professionals provides care to more than 650 patients daily, traveling nearly 900,000 miles each year to support recovery, manage complex conditions, and help patients remain safely are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in infant medical feeding, neonate feeding therapy, and pediatric dysphagia to provide home-based intervention for medically fragile infants and young children.
This PRN role offers schedule flexibility and an opportunity to deliver highly specialized neonatal and infant feeding support directly in the home setting.
- Evaluate and treat neonates and infants with swallowing disorders, oral-motor feeding challenges, and infant medical feeding needs
- Provide pediatric speech-language therapy to support early communication, developmental milestones, and caregiver engagement
- Educate and counsel families on feeding strategies, oral-motor exercises, bottle-feeding modifications, and safe swallow techniques
- Deliver independent home-based therapeutic services while identifying clinical areas of specialization, including neonatal feeding intervention
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to support infant growth, safety, and overall patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement activities and maintain best practices in pediatric home health and infant dysphagia management
- One (1) year of experience in infant medical feeding, neonatal feeding therapy, or pediatric dysphagia
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Tennessee or eligibility for licensure
- Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and commitment to family-centered care
- Ability to work independently in a home-based environment and manage a flexible caseload
