JOB DESCRIPTION REGISTERED BEHAVIOR TECHNICIAN (RBT)
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), credentialed through the BACB. Has taken the 40-hour training modules, passed the field competency, and passed the RBT certification exam.
Must be CPI certified.
Must be certified in CPR/First Aid
FLSA Status-Exempt
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP
The RBT reports to the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, the Supervisor of Special Programs, or other personnel as designated by the Superintendent of Schools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Implement treatment plans.
2. Following protocols and collect data on behavior reduction.
3. Follow protocols and collect data on skill acquisition.
4. Collecting and recording data based on students' behaviors through direct observation.
5. Assisting BCBAs as directed with behavior reduction assessments and skill acquisition plans.
6. Assisting BCBAs in the preparation of client materials.
7. Teaching students the specific behavior skills called for in treatment plans.
8. Nurturing students' social skills.
9. Communicating behavioral intervention results with students' teachers, administration, parents, and caregivers.
10. Crisis prevention and intervention.
11. Address behavior and discipline (track all behavior data)
12. Frequent communication with parents
13. Weekly communication updates with home-based schools
14. Create, monitor, and modify FBAs and BIPs; coordinate process with schools
15. Communicate with district behaviorist staff
16. Perform other duties as assigned by the designated Supervisor.

WORK CONDITIONS
Most work will be performed in the classroom environment with students present.
