Mental Health Therapist - Outpatient Clinician

Community Services Institute (CSI) is seeking Outpatient Mental Health Therapists to join our behavioral/mental health team in Boston and Springfield. Clinicians provide client-centered therapy services to adults, adolescents, and children via telehealth or in-person modalities. Clinicians should be familiar with trauma-informed treatments for families facing systemic barriers and mental/behavioral health challenges. They will complete paperwork (progress notes, assessments, treatment plans) in a timely manner and will receive support for the administrative aspects of community mental health.

About us

CSI was one of the first outpatient community mental health clinics to offer home-based therapy to families facing barriers to mental health care. CSI’s community outreach model started after long-term psychiatric hospitals were shut down in the 60’s-70’s and replaced with outpatient mental health services. For nearly four decades, CSI has remained dedicated to social justice and delivering therapy in accessible ways, regardless of a person’s circumstance.

CSI clinicians have the flexibility of a hybrid model, seeing clients virtually, in-office, and in community settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychotherapy and consultation to children, individuals, couples, and families.
  • Collaborate with CSI’s psychiatry and Therapeutic Mentor program.
  • Self-motivated fee-for-service clinician who enjoys flexibility in scheduling.
  • Complete assessments and develop goal-directed treatment plans.
  • Some evenings are required to accommodate clients’ work and school schedules.
  • Maintain 22 billable therapy and consult hours per week.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree (60 credits minimum) in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field
  • Eligible for LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
  • Bilingual highly desirable (Spanish/English)
  • Culturally fluent
  • Massachusetts CANS certification required
