University of Miami - - Responsibilities:
Provide continuous visual patient observation and surveillance of high risk patients;
Notify the unit nursing team through communication devices if the patient requires immediate assistance;
Assure safe patient environment and seek assistance with removal of any potential safety hazards in patient room with assigned nursing care team;
Completes required observation documentation at established intervals;
Participates in hand-off of pertinent information/behavior about assigned patients during shifts and admissions
