Physical Therapist (PT) – East Lansing, MI

As a Physical Therapist at FYZICAL, you will provide direct PT therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary team (Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Pathologists). You will screen, evaluate, plan, and provide habilitative/rehabilitative treatment to infants, children, adolescents, and adults with physical, sensory, or cognitive concerns, using evidence‑based practice. You will develop individualized treatment plans and help patients achieve independent activities of daily living.
Responsibilities- Direct physical therapy services as part of a multidisciplinary team including SLP and PT
- Screening, evaluation, planning, and habilitative/rehabilitative treatment for a broad patient population
- Create individualized treatment plans based on client assessment
- Provide clinical care activities utilizing evidence‑based practice
- Document and respond effectively to age‑specific patient needs
- Make recommendations for advancement based on home/job evaluations
- Ensure clients are properly trained on safely using home and work equipment
- Provide guidance to patients, families and caregivers on assistance methods
- Assist clients with safely performing day‑to‑day activities
- Customize one‑on‑one treatment programs to improve functional abilities
- Conduct comprehensive home site evaluations with improvement recommendations
- Educate patients on using home and work equipment safely and efficiently
- Guide and discuss with individuals working or living with patients on how they can help
- Help patients better perform activities of daily living
- Demonstrate respect for patients, parents, center staff, and community members
- Display initiative, self‑direction, program development, organization, and independence
- Holds PT license in Michigan or license‑eligible
- Accredited PT program graduate
- At least 1 + year of Physical Therapy experience, pediatric experience preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, time‑management, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to meet the physical demands of pediatric therapy (stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling)
- Willingness to see patients at any of the three locations
- Able to create and implement outpatient balance and vestibular rehabilitation plan
- Capable of working efficiently and effectively in an autonomous environment
- Passionate about helping adult and pediatric patients with vestibular, balance, neurological, and fall risk issues
- Self‑motivated with willingness to learn
