About the RoleWe are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our network of education professionals for a full‑time, school‑based assignment. This position offers a flexible hybrid schedule, with four days working onsite in the school setting and one day providing services virtually, allowing you to maintain meaningful student connections while enjoying added work‑life balance.
In this role, you’ll provide therapy services and support to students with a variety of communication challenges, contributing to their academic and social success. You’ll work as part of a collaborative special education team, with access to resources, mentorship (for CFs), and manageable caseloads.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations in compliance with IDEA and state standards.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct therapy and consultative services to students with speech and language impairments through both in‑person and virtual service delivery models as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and service logs to ensure legal and ethical compliance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other related service providers to support student goals.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and professional development activities.
- Utilize a variety of evidence‑based therapeutic strategies and technologies, including AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication).
- Support inclusive practices and adapt interventions to support diverse student populations.
- Provide training or guidance to classroom staff, if applicable, to generalize communication strategies.
Required:
- Master's Degree in Speech‑Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Active state licensure (or eligibility) as a Speech Language Pathologist
- State Teaching Credential (or ability to obtain)
- Valid Driver's License
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Preferred:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC‑SLP) from ASHA
- Experience working in a public school setting or with IEPs
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing practices and compliance
- Cultural competency in working with diverse student populations
Clinical Fellows (CFs) encouraged to apply - CF supervision available!
