Director, Revenue Cycle Management

The Director, Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) leads all financial operations related to billing and reimbursement, overseeing accounts receivable, patient financial services, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and payer requirements.

• Develop and implement RCM policies and best practices.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert on billing, coding, reimbursement, and related regulations.
• Set goals, objectives, headcount and budgeting for the reimbursement team.
• Create, monitor, and report on key performance indicators such as A/R, collection rates, appeal success, and bad debt write‑off.
• Coordinate with finance, compliance, legal, sales operations, managed care, and other departments to drive integrated revenue cycle operations.
• Engage in cross‑functional process improvement initiatives and projects.
• Partner with Customer Support to minimize potential losses.
• Oversee billing system evaluation, selection, and implementation.
• Drive automation of routine reimbursement tasks through technology.
• Provide comprehensive reporting to senior management on trends, KPIs and performance insights.
• Ensure compliance with payer requirements, HIPAA, and company policies.

• B.S. in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of finance and/or operations experience, 5+ years in an RCM leadership role within a healthcare system.
• Strong knowledge of reimbursement billing, claim resolution, and collection techniques.
• Experience in high‑volume medical device or biotech/pharma environment preferred.
• Track record of developing and implementing processes for timely billing and collections.
• Knowledge of US GAAP revenue‑recognition rules preferred.
• Expertise in healthcare billing, coding, reimbursement principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to gain cooperation across functional areas.
• Certified in Medical Billing (preferred).

• Hybrid: mix of in‑office (Del Mar, CA) and remote work, 2–3 days in office per week.
• High‑volume, fast‑moving environment requiring cross‑departmental collaboration.

• Base salary $161,000–$205,000 annually, plus bonus potential.
