Supervisor, Specialty Pharmacy Support Service

Location:

Remote (United States)

Pay Range: USD $56,805.00 - $68,441.00 per year.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 7:00 PM Central Time.

Remote Work Eligibility:

Job Overview

Under the general direction of the Associate Manager, Pharmacy Services, the Supervisor, Specialty Pharmacy Support Services manages day‑to‑day operations of a team of either reimbursement or intake specialists. The role monitors productivity and performance standards, plans and directs workflow and project assignments, ensures production volume meets service standards, participates in hiring, training, and evaluation of staff, upholds attendance and employment policies, and works with the Associate Mgr.

to develop policies, procedures, and the business work plan. The Supervisor also trains staff and intervenes to maintain a high level of customer service and meet turnaround time standards.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule and monitor staff and day‑to‑day workflow. Develop employees' skills, evaluate performance, and provide feedback. Oversee resolution of employee relations. Participate in hiring, training, and evaluation of staff.
  • Develop, track, and monitor employee compliance to quality, service, and production standards.
  • Monitor task turnaround time to meet internal standards and client performance guarantees.
  • Assist Associate Manager, Pharmacy Services in monitoring costs to ensure compliance with cost goals.
  • Address staff concerns and day‑to‑day operational, system, customer service, quality, and professional issues.
  • Work in production as needed.
  • Implement programs and process improvements to enhance internal and external customer service. Work with Associate Manager, Pharmacy Services to analyze operations and overall efficiencies of the pharmacy.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for issues requiring higher expertise or discretion to resolve. Represent pharmacy operations and services in cross‑functional meetings and projects.
  • Participate in continued quality improvement and quality meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred. Certified Pharmacy Tech certificate (CPhT) required when overseeing Intake Specialists.
  • 2–5 years’ experience, with previous experience in a pharmacy setting preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of current pharmacy regulations.
  • Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees.
