As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions reflecting the needs of our diverse patient population, quickly build rapport with patients, and coordinate care with internal and external providers. The Psychologist position is in an outpatient clinical setting where you will interact directly with patients.

If you are located in Barrington, RI, you will have the flexibility to work from home and in the office in this hybrid role. This role involves challenging and meaningful work.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Conduct individual, family, or group therapy sessions based on ethical and medical necessity guidelines.
  • Develop and coordinate a clinical treatment program for the diagnosis, treatment, or referral of patients presenting mental health conditions.
  • Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results.
  • Involve patient and/or family in treatment planning as appropriate.
  • Lead crisis intervention methods and provide insight into the development of functional assessments and behavioral intervention plans.
  • Complete clinical documentation according to policy.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Active and unrestricted (PhD, PsyD) license in the state of practice.
  • 2+ years of experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals, families, and groups.
  • Ability to commute to the location in person.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of clinical presentations.
  • Experience with professional communication and medical documentation tools (Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS or other EMRs).
  • Significant experience evaluating adults and/or children in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Comfortable completing diagnostic assessments, general psychiatric testing, and providing direct therapy in an outpatient clinical setting.
  • Knowledge and experience in providing neuropsychological, CBT, and other evidence‑based interventions.
  • Experience with health psychology.
  • Ability to represent the practice in community presentations and lectures, if desired.
Compensation and Benefits

Rhode Island residents only. The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. United Health Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
