Position Summary
This position is a full‑time, work‑from‑home Pharmacy Care Technician for CVS Specialty. The Technician must live within 75 miles of Bartlett, Tennessee, and will work Monday‑through‑Friday 11:00am‑7:30pm local time, 40 hours per week. The role focuses on accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions, routing incomplete prescriptions, handling inbound calls, enrolling new patients, verifying insurance coverage, performing benefit investigations, and processing medication orders.
Responsibilities- Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions into the computer system, including calculation of doses and assignment of directions.
- Route incomplete or unclear prescriptions to prescribers for clarification and enter information once clarification is received.
- Handle inbound phone calls, assist customers and cross‑functional teams, answer questions, solve problems, and provide education.
- Enroll new patients, verify insurance coverage, and perform benefit investigations.
- Process medication orders for new and existing patients.
- Escalate appropriate issues to a pharmacist and perform routine assessment and problem identification.
- Participate in training and onboarding to meet performance standards.
- Maintain a secure, private home workspace free from distractions.
- Live within 75 miles of Bartlett, Tennessee.
- Six months experience in a pharmacy technician role.
- Six months experience with Windows‑based applications (Microsoft Office, internet navigation, email).
- Six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.
- Active Valid Pharmacy Technician License and/or state of TN certification;
National Pharmacy Technician Certification acceptable. - Direct/ hard‑wired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of computer, minimum download speed of 25
Mbps and upload speed of 3
Mbps;
Wi‑Fi and satellite not permitted. - Secure and private home workspace free from distractions.
- Three months experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions.
- Experience in medical billing, coding, or other medical assisting roles.
- Customer service experience in an office environment.
High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
Location & Working ConditionsRemote, work‑from‑home position in Tennessee. Candidates must be willing to travel to Bartlett, Tennessee for equipment/technical issues and performance reviews.
Salary & BenefitsPay range: $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, based on experience. Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, paid time off, and additional supplemental benefits.
