Hybrid Billing and Insurance Specialist

Overview

Insight Carolinas, a mental health practice, located in Charlotte, NC, has an immediate opening for a full-time Billing and Insurance Specialist. The position will be mostly remote with the possibility of going into the office occasionally.

• Assist in expanding Insight’s reach to help more families gain access to services, primarily through a hybrid schedule with mostly remote work and occasional in-office days to greet clients or complete filing tasks.
• Work with the Billing Lead to verify benefits online and by phone, follow up on claims, assist in the initial referral process to ensure information is accurate and up to date, send monthly statements, and pursue collections, along with other billing and insurance tasks for a mental health practice.
• Participate as a valued team member and contribute to a positive work environment.

• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Some insurance and billing experience is essential; bonus points if in the field of mental health.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Perseverance to complete tasks from start to finish; a claim denial is just the first answer, and we strive to collect payment for services rendered.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to be firm with insurance reps and clients while remaining respectful.
• Collaborative by nature and able to work independently.
