To support healthcare operations, the part-time Medical Records Associate will manage patient information retrieval, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain electronic health records in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities- Retrieve and verify medical records for accuracy and compliance with established standards
- Transcribe and update medical data from various sources while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations
- Utilize the Int Elligo database to track and manage the status of patient medical records efficiently
- High School diploma or GED
- Minimum one year of experience in a medical record reviewer or medical assistant role
- Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with transcribing medical information
- Understanding of healthcare regulations and data protection practices
- Certification in health information management (e.g., RHIT, RHIA) preferred
