Position: Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) - 60% Travel

A-Line Staffing is now hiring US Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) in the United States (Remote / Field-Based). The Medical Science Liaison would be working for a Fortune 500 company and has career growth potential. This would be full time / 40+ hours per week.

Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) Compensation
  • The pay for this position is $65.97–$86.81 per hour (internal reference range)
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
  • A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) Highlights
  • This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
  • The required availability for this position is full-time with approximately 50–60% travel, remote field-based role with national coverage
Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) Responsibilities
  • Lead scientific and clinical field support for automated identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing (IDAST) solutions
  • Conduct high-level scientific exchange with clinical microbiologists, infectious disease clinicians, pharmacists, stewardship leaders, and hospital decision-makers
  • Support advisory boards, scientific meetings, and KOL engagement activities in compliance with Medical Affairs standards
  • Deliver scientific education on organism identification, susceptibility testing, resistance interpretation, stewardship applications, and laboratory workflow integration
  • Translate IDAST diagnostic data into clinically meaningful insights for antimicrobial optimization, resistance tracking, and hospital decision-making
  • Monitor scientific literature, resistance trends, and competitive developments relevant to infectious diseases and clinical microbiology
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Commercial, and Market Access teams
  • Capture field insights on unmet needs, implementation barriers, and evidence gaps to support strategy and evidence generation
Medical Science Liaisons (PharmD) Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • 1–3 years of experience in one or more of the following: infectious diseases, antimicrobial stewardship, clinical microbiology, diagnostic microbiology, susceptibility or resistance testing, or hospital laboratory environments
  • Strong ability to communicate complex scientific and clinical information to multidisciplinary audiences
  • Experience educating healthcare professionals and engaging with clinical or laboratory stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of infectious diseases, antimicrobial therapy, resistance mechanisms, and susceptibility testing principles
  • Must be willing to travel approximately 50–60% nationally
  • Must reside within ~50 miles or 60 minutes of a major hub airport
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Medical Science Liaison or similar field-based medical/scientific role
  • Experience working with clinical microbiology labs, antimicrobial stewardship programs, or infectious disease teams
  • Familiarity with automated identification systems, antimicrobial susceptibility testing platforms, and laboratory informatics
  • Strong presentation skills with experience delivering scientific education to clinical and laboratory audiences

    Ability to engage across microbiology, pharmacy, infectious disease, and health system stakeholders
