The Regional Acute Clinical Manager (RACM) is a vital part of Optum Rx Infusion Pharmacy and will be responsible for promoting and supporting the maintenance and growth of parenteral nutrition (PN) and intravenous (IV) antibiotics within acute infusion in the designated region. The (RACM) devises and implements growth strategies for acute infusion and manages a team within a designated region. This role will be remote with frequent travel required within the designated region.

Primary Responsibilities
- Manage a team of Nutrition Support Dietitians, RN Clinical Liaisons, and Account Liaisons within their designated region
- Building an effective team within the region; coaching and supporting team members, including identifying strengths and areas for development, and fostering an environment that supports the regional strategy
- Developing and executing a comprehensive acute growth strategy for the designated region in partnership with the leadership team
- Build and maintain relationships within key accounts for PN and antibiotic referral generation
- Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to build relationships to consistently generate PN and antibiotic referrals, initiate care, and drive revenue within a defined region
- Track and analyze PN and antibiotic referrals, starts of care, revenue, and gross margin in designated region on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis
- Identify trends and gaps, and develop targeted strategies for improving referral generation, care initiation, and financial performance
- Collaborate with RVP leadership to refine and implement strategies, ensuring they align with both regional and organizational goals
- Conduct regular reviews of the strategy and make necessary adjustments based on data insights and market changes. Serve as an external-facing resource for the region, working collaboratively to facilitate the onboarding of PN and antibiotic referrals and resumptions of care. Conduct regular in-person or virtual meetings, in-services, and continuing educational (CE) programs to external referral sources, serving as an acute infusion SME
- Train and develop the acute infusion team at the regional and national level
- Maintain knowledge regarding reimbursement coverage and payer-specific profitability metrics
- Keep abreast of the home infusion industry and market: competition, innovations, demographics and trends and update internal stakeholders consistently
- Utilize electronic medical records and patient documentation accurately and in a timely manner, as required by UHG and Optum Infusion protocols and policies
- Take responsibility for maintaining employment requirements:
Completion of orientation, current nutritional knowledge, professional registration, licensure as appropriate, certifications and health requirements as specified by internal and external regulatory bodies - Participate in professional organizations to foster industry relationships
- Attending regional and national conferences as required
