About the Role

Harmony Hospice Care is seeking a Volunteer to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families. This is an opportunity to provide compassionate support in a nurturing environment while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.
• Assist with daily activities, including reading, playing games, or simply listening.
• Help organize and participate in social and recreational activities.
• Offer respite care to family members, allowing them time to recharge.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient comfort.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all patients.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required.
• Document volunteer activities and patient interactions accurately.

• Must be compassionate and empathetic towards patients and families.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Previous volunteer experience in healthcare or hospice preferred.
• Willingness to undergo a background check/drug testing and training.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Passion for helping others and making a difference in the community.
