Intake/Prescription Setup Pharmacy Technician

Join our team s full‑time position is located in Woodridge, IL and serves our Specialty Pharmacy.

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 10:30 – 7:00 PM CST.

Starting salary from $24.00 an hour and up.

This position may transition to remote work after onsite training is complete.

• Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues.
• Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate.
• Manages incoming documents from the fax server.

• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible.
• Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications and general pharmacy terminology.
• Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information.
• Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law.
• Basic math and analytical skills.
• Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.

• Required:
  
  High School Diploma or GED, licensed/registered pharmacy technician or as required by state law, previous experience in pharmacy.
• Desired:
  Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB), specialty pharmacy experience.

• Required:
  
  Pharmacy Technician: 1+ years.
• Desired:
  Pharmacy Technician: 3+ years.

• Required:
  
  Pharmacy or healthcare‑related knowledge, knowledge of pharmacy terminology including sig codes and Roman numerals, brand/generic names of medication, basic math and analytical skills, intermediate typing/keyboarding skills.
• Desired:
  Specialty pharmacy experience.

• Required:
  
  Pharmacy Technician registration/certification and Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB) or ExCPT.

• Independent worker, good interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communications skills, ability to work independently, work efficiently to meet deadlines and be flexible, detail-oriented, great time‑management skills.
