Position Requirements

The Social, Life, & Engineering Sciences Imaging Center (SLEIC;
www.imaging.psu.edu
) at Penn State University has an opening for a part‑time (up to 20 hours per week) MRI technologist for evening and weekend imaging. The imaging center contributes to Penn State's thriving research environment by providing state‑of‑the‑art brain imaging and data analysis facilities. The research MRI technologist's principal duties and responsibilities include: scanning adult and pediatric research participants using a broad range of established and new methods;

ensuring participant safety; collaboration on the development of imaging protocols; troubleshooting and implementing changes to existing protocols in collaboration with the investigators; conducting safety training, and other related duties. This position requires a motivated, independent, well‑organized individual with excellent interpersonal skills. Preference will be given to those with experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging including high‑field scanning and/or familiarity with MRI in a research‑oriented facility.

All candidates for this position must be registered as an RT/MRI Technologist with MRI certification.
