Job Summary

BCBA Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBA) and skill-based assessments to identify client needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans (ITPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) with measurable, data-driven goals.
  • Implement and monitor treatment plans to ensure client progress toward skill acquisition and behavior reduction objectives.
  • Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), behavior therapists, and support staff.
  • Train caregivers, educators, and staff to promote generalization of skills and consistency of intervention strategies.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret behavior and skill acquisition data to inform treatment decisions.
  • Document all services, progress reports, and treatment updates in accordance with funding source, organizational, and ethical guidelines.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary teams to support client success across environments.
  • Maintain compliance with the BACB Ethics Code, ensuring the dignity, rights, and confidentiality of all clients.
  • Stay current with research and best practices in behavior analysis to ensure effective and ethical service delivery.
  • Provide crisis intervention, support, and de-escalation strategies when necessary.
  • Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities.
BCaBA Responsibilities
  • Assist the supervising BCBA with conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skill assessments.
  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and individualized treatment plans (ITPs) as designed by the BCBA.
  • Collect, monitor, and analyze data to evaluate client progress and program effectiveness.
  • Provide direct behavior-analytic services to clients in home, school, clinic, and community settings.
  • Train and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), paraprofessionals, and caregivers in treatment procedures.
  • Monitor fidelity of intervention implementation and provide feedback to staff and caregivers.
  • Prepare treatment summaries and progress notes under the direction of the supervising BCBA.
  • Communicate regularly with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistency of care.
  • Uphold the BACB Ethics Code and maintain client confidentiality and professional boundaries.
  • Participate in supervision meetings with the BCBA as required to ensure compliance with certification standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and remain current with best practices in behavior analysis.
