Mt. Bachelor Assisted Living and Memory Care, a Brightwater community, is seeking a knowledgeable Resident Assistant with experience in caregiving for day, evening, or overnight shifts. Position SummaryOffer services to residents as indicated in service plans. Assist in development and revision of service plans. Observe and report resident problems. Perform certain dining services, activities, and housekeeping duties.
Responsibilities- Maintain resident, employee, and community information in strict confidence.
- Submit all required documents to Home Office in a timely manner.
- Assist residents with performance of activities of daily living as indicated in service plans.
- Assist residents with performance of simple treatments as indicated in service plans.
- Assist residents with emotional health and/or problem behavior issues as indicated in service plans.
- Perform other services for residents such as laundry and pet care (exercise caution if at risk).
- Assist in development and revision of service plans by informing supervisor of current resident needs and preferences.
- Observe and report resident problems to Charge Nurse.
- Oversee Dining Engagement: collaborate with Community Management Team and Dining Team to provide dining room experiences, including coffee & drink service, act as a food runner, buss and clear tables, resident engagement during dining time.
- Perform dining service duties: serve meals, deliver meal trays, bus tables, clean dining room, set tables.
- Perform activity duties: lead group activities, engage residents individually, accompany to community-sponsored activities.
- Perform housekeeping duties: vacuum common area carpet, clean public restrooms.
- Read Communication Log at beginning of shift; enter pertinent information by end of shift.
- Read inter‑shift report at beginning of shift; enter pertinent information by end of shift.
- Notify Resident Care Manager or Staff Educator of needed supplies.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain CPR and first aid certification.
- Maintain required certifications per state or provincial regulations.
