Position Summary
Work‑from‑home Pharmacy Care Technician located in Idaho. The role involves accurately reading, interpreting, and entering prescriptions into the computer system, calculating doses, assigning directions, and ensuring timely insurance payment. The technician routes incomplete or unclear prescriptions to the prescriber, enters information once clarification is received, and handles inbound phone calls, providing customer support, new patient enrollment, insurance coverage verification, benefit investigations, and processing medication orders for both new and existing patients.
Key Responsibilities- Read, interpret, and enter prescriptions; calculate doses and assign directions.
- Accept insurance payments promptly and route incomplete prescriptions to prescribers.
- Enter prescription information once clarification is obtained.
- Assist inbound phone calls, answer questions, solve problems, and provide education.
- Perform new patient enrollment, verify insurance coverage, and conduct benefit investigations.
- Process medication orders for new and existing patients.
- Escalate routine assessment and problem identification to a pharmacist as appropriate.
- Maintain high‑quality service and the company’s reputation.
- Must reside in Idaho.
- Minimum six months experience as a pharmacy technician.
- Minimum six months experience using Windows‑based applications (Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email).
- Minimum six months computer keyboarding skills and aptitude.
- Active, valid Pharmacy Technician registration in the state of Idaho.
- Direct/hardwired internet connection to a modem/router within 7 feet of the computer, minimum 25

Mbps upload;
Wi‑Fi and satellite not permitted. - Secure, private home workspace free from distractions.
- At least three months experience handling and resolving customer needs over the phone.
- Healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, and prescriptions.
- Experience in medical billing, coding, or other medical assisting roles.
- Customer service experience in an office environment.
Full‑time, 40 hours per week. Shift: 11:00am–7:30pm local time, Monday through Friday. Overtime available during business peaks. Pay range: $17.00–$25.65 per hour, based on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
