Radiation Oncology Clinical Implementation Consultant (REMOTE)
Base pay range: $95,300.00/yr - $/yr
Role involves delivering consulting project activities as a subject matter expert in radiation therapy, through medium- to long-term engagements to ensure maximum utilization of company products and training by customers, with travel up to 75%.
Core Responsibilities- Assist customers in developing best practice clinical operations with emphasis on patient outcomes, care efficiencies, cost containment/reduction, and customer value propositions.
- Evaluate business processes, recommend changes, document processes, identify problems, configure databases and systems, specify hardware/software, manage change, test strategies, identify training needs, and support solution deployment.
- Assist in creating and developing consultative services.
- Develop metrics to demonstrate clinical, operational, and financial value.
- Support product training and implementation through defined processes, eLearning, onsite and remote training, and follow-up to ensure adoption and optimal utilization.
- Serve as the clinical resource on the Varian project implementation team, expert in content curation, product configuration, testing, and workflow.
- Map current workflow state to future state with gap analysis; lead requirements gathering through on-site and remote analysis and customer interviews.
- Collaborate with the technical implementation team to translate workflow requirements into actionable configuration tasks.
- Develop and drive customer-specific user adoption strategies and best practices.
- Provide onsite support during Go-Live and immediate post-Go-Live periods.
Position must have full access to client sites to perform essential functions. Vendor Credentialing may be required by clients; position must meet all credentialing requirements to gain and maintain site access.
Minimum Required Skills And Knowledge- Product knowledge and ability to translate products and services into solutions.
- Industry knowledge from commercial, clinical, and healthcare executive perspectives.
- Organizational acumen and executive presence.
- Responsiveness, reliability, problem-solving, interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to assess baseline workflows and develop future-state workflows; understanding patient-to-care-team relationships and guidelines across multiple disease modalities.
- Understanding of healthcare business drivers, payers/providers metrics, and ability to work in matrixed/unstructured environments.
- Clinical Oncology experience (e.g., Radiation Therapist, Dosimetrist, Physicist, Oncology Nurse) or similar licensed position.
- Medical informatics standards, clinical data working knowledge, self-motivation, initiative, and strong analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration, consensus-building, and communication with customers’ C-level and internal management; ability to influence.
- BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience; leadership experience in clinical operations, strategic/business planning, and financial/operational performance.
- RT, RTT or CMD with at least 3 years of direct patient care experience; management and standardized guidelines experience preferred.
- 5+ years combined experience in Oncology settings and healthcare technology vendor environments.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a proven track record of collaboration and consensus-building.
- Completes Varian training plan specific to assigned responsibilities.
75% travel requirement.
