DescriptionJoin our team at Onco
360 as a Pharmacy Technician for our Specialty Pharmacy located in Houston, TX. We are looking for skilled candidates comfortable working in a high volume pharmacy setting. Shifts run between 8 am and 8 pm. Starting salary from $22.00 per hour and up. This will be a Full‑time position, and you may transition to remote work after onsite training is complete.
- Creates patient profiles and processes orders in a timely manner from electronic prescription and fax queues
- Requests refill prescriptions as appropriate
- Manages incoming documents from the fax server
- Generates and types prescriptions from orders for pharmacist verification
- Follows up on outbound prescription transfers
- Clarifies patient demographic and clinical information needed to process prescriptions
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and customer‑service skills
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be flexible
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented
- Knowledge of medical terminology (including sig codes and Roman numerals), brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
- Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or certification required by state law
- Basic math and analytical skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- Licensed/registered pharmacy technician or certification required by state law
- Previous experience in pharmacy
- Required:
1+ year as a Pharmacy Technician - Desired: 3+ years as a Pharmacy Technician
- Pharmacy or healthcare‑related knowledge, including pharmacy terminology, sig codes, Roman numerals, brand/generic medication names, and basic math
- Intermediate typing/keyboarding skills
- Desirable:
Specialty pharmacy experience
- Independent worker capable of working efficiently, meeting deadlines, and exercising good time‑management
