Working remotely full-time, the Collection Specialist - Remote will manage medical accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely collections and adherence to compliance regulations while demonstrating exceptional customer service skills.
Key responsibilities- Ensure daily goals for cash collections are met by accurately managing assigned accounts and denials
- Research outstanding balances and initiate necessary collection actions to resolve issues promptly
- Negotiate payment plans and identify trends in denials or non-payments, reporting findings to supervisory personnel
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required; some college is a plus
- Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and reimbursement processes
- Familiarity with automated billing systems, preferably CPR+
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to type 40 wpm and proficient with a 10-key calculator
