Job Summary
We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Operations Supervisor to help drive the success of our fully remote Durable Medical Equipment (DME) operations. This role plays a key part in supporting staff, streamlining workflows, and ensuring timely, accurate case processing. Strong knowledge of insurance procedures, prior authorizations, and compliance is essential.
CompensationStarts at $65,000 per year, with a generous bonus structure based on Ready-to-Bill (RTB) case volume.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care and Support- Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility.
- Review medical records to determine the need for prior authorization.
- Submit and follow up on prior authorization requests with insurance companies.
- Provide timely updates to patients and healthcare providers regarding authorization statuses.
- Collaborate with providers to obtain all necessary documentation for authorizations.
- Maintain accurate records of all care coordination and authorization activities.
- Stay current with insurance policies and guidelines related to DME services.
- Communicate effectively with insurance representatives to resolve authorization issues.
- Support internal operations personnel with case coordination and process questions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all applicable healthcare regulations.
- 3+ years of experience as a DME Operations Supervisor or in a similar healthcare operations role.
- Strong experience working with workers’ compensation insurance, including familiarity with related processes and requirements in a healthcare or DME setting.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage high-volume workflows.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws.
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor.
- Positive attitude and willingness to treat every patient and provider like a member of your family.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support team performance and promote a collaborative work environment.
