University Hospital | Food Service Administration

Provides direct meal and nourishment service to patients. Communicates with patients for alternate selections when needed. Requires knowledge of dietetic standards and the ability to interact with patient care staff regarding special diet orders. Interacts with a variety of patients, visitors, and staff members so that patient care requirements are met. Maintains patient kitchen supplies, follows sanitation procedures, transports tray carts to and from patient kitchens, and provides customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.

Utilizes appropriate communication skills. Position located at University Hospitals.

Per Classified Civil Service Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
• Can read and write simple sentences.
• One course or one month of experience in food service.
• One course or one month of experience in public relations or equivalent combination of education and experience.
