Manager Of Behavioral Health

We are looking for a Manager of Behavioral Health who can help shape our vision and support our mission. Here is what the position will look like.

  • Oversees the management of multiple department initiatives, including the operations of cross-departmental programming; providers awareness to department leaders and staff on how their work impacts other departments, programs, and the enterprise. Leads continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments and/or cross-functional teams.
  • Works closely with leaders across the organization to make tactical and operational decisions that advance company strategies and goals and collaborates to deliver on company-wide deliverables/requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains collaborative working relationships with Colorado Access department leaders in all areas of the company to ensure behavioral health program effectiveness and performance.
  • Provides clinical direction to Colorado Access departments responsible for providing support to the behavioral health programs. This includes care management, utilization management, compliance, quality improvement, population health, customer service, claims, business intelligence, marketing, IT, provider engagement, member engagement, community engagement, etc.
  • Provides representation and subject matter expertise for behavioral health to the State of Colorado in a manner that is coordinated with the policies and strategic interests of Colorado Access and the behavioral healthcare system in Colorado.
  • Oversees implementation, operations, and evaluation of behavioral health service expansion efforts and initiatives to improve performance on strategic priorities.
  • Responsible for all operational activities and continued program development associated with assigned mental health and substance use disorder KPIs, BH incentive measures, and performance pool measures. This includes leading internal work groups, managing reports, preparing data for and meeting with relevant providers, as well as monitoring and reporting progress to internal departments and senior leadership.

Education:

Master's degree in behavioral health or related field preferred. Equivalent combination of experience and/or education may substitute with a preference for a Bachelor's degree with at least two years progressive relevant work experience.

Experience:

Five years' experience in behavioral health, with two years supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of behavioral health services and the severe and persistent mentally ill population (SPMI) required. Knowledge of Medicaid regulations, ICD/CPT/HCPC coding, and provider contracting preferred. Demonstrates support for the company's mission, vision and values.
