Position: DSHS HCLA Psychologist 3

Psychologist 3 - Transition Psychologist 3

An amazing opportunity for a Psychologist to join our team! Enjoy remote work options and be on the ground floor of a revolutionary shift in developmental care. The Home and Community Living Administration (HCLA) Developmental Disabilities Community Services (DDCS), within the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), seeks a psychologist to join a tight‑knit and dynamic team of psychologists and psychology associates whose mission is to ensure people with intellectual or developmental disabilities have the support they need to live healthy, safe, and inclusive lives.

This is a statewide position and work will be accomplished utilizing both remote and in‑person services which may require travel, and some overnight stay may be necessary.

As part of a state‑wide transition team, you provide direct support through case consultation, technical assistance, plan writing, staff training, and training people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The transition psychologist 3 provides crisis, stabilization, and planning services. You will build system capacity and competency of HCLA staff and service providers who work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities who are also diagnosed with mental health or behavioral needs.

You’ll work closely with regional Clinical Teams and Transition Team members. Additionally, the Transition Psychologist 3 works with the person with an intellectual or developmental disability, family members, guardians, others that support the person, community service providers, as well as residential and employment providers. You report to the Transition Team Psychologist 4, who is responsible for clinical supervision and administrative review of work.

Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs.
