This is a part time or full-time Psychotherapist role based in Bethpage, NY, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work-from-home flexibility. The Psychotherapist will provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy, including intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy sessions. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining a consistent caseload, documenting sessions in a timely and compliant manner, coordinating care with other providers as needed, and ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.
The role also involves participating in case consultations, engaging in continuing education, and staying current with evidence-based practices. The Psychotherapist is expected to contribute to a supportive team culture and provide culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care.
- Strong foundation in Psychology, Social Work and Mental Health
, including understanding of diagnoses, evidence-based interventions, and psychopathology. - Demonstrated skills in Counseling with experience supporting individuals, couples, and/or families.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related mental health field.
- Active or eligible New York State clinical license (e.g., LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist) in good standing.
- Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient or private practice settings, preferably with diverse populations.
- Strong clinical documentation skills and comfort working with electronic health records.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and boundary-setting skills, with a commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and inclusive care.
- Ability to manage a full-time caseload, work both independently and as part of a team, and adapt to a hybrid in-person/remote schedule.
