Position: Travel Speech Language Pathologist - $2,315 per week

Fusion Medical Staffing-Therapy is seeking a travel Speech Language Pathologist for a travel assignment in Waterville, Maine.

Required Qualifications
  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Speech Language Pathology experience; new graduates welcome to apply
  • Additional certifications or licenses may be required
Responsibilities
  • Utilize standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.
  • Design personalized therapy programs based on evaluation findings, patient goals, and evidence-based practices.
  • Continuously assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain detailed, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on effective communication strategies, home-based exercises, and safe swallowing practices; provide supportive counseling as required.
  • Work in conjunction with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patients’ comfort needs during therapy sessions.
  • Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in speech language therapy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Required Essential Skills
  • Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills.
  • Physical: able to remain stationary, move around, move equipment (50–100 lbs), push, pull, bend.
  • Interpersonal: work effectively with a variety of personnel, present a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • Technical/Motor: grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, move about when assisting with procedures or using equipment.
  • Mental: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, work under supervision occasionally, handle irregular schedules, maintain focus on details.
  • Sensory: possess visual acuity and ability to communicate effectively.

Fusion Medical Staffing - Therapy Job . Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
