Senior Clinical Lab Assistant

Phlebotomy Travel Position

Virginia Beach, VA

First (Days)

Overview:

Travels to various facilities to perform patient phlebotomy, monitor staff and train staff; and reassign team when necessary for coverage. Collects, labels, and processes patient specimens for testing.

Job Description:

Acts as site lead- directs and assigns work to other CLA-Phlebotomy employees. Responsible for daily operations and supply levels at the collection site. Operates and maintains laboratory equipment; responsible for both internal and external problem resolution. May perform EKGs or operate point of care equipment.

Education:

• High School Diploma (Required)

Certification/Licensure:

• Basic Life Support (AHA or RQI) (Required)

• Driver's License (Required)

Experience:

• 2 years of laboratory experience (Required)

• 2 years of phlebotomy experience (Required)
