SCHOOL BASED CLINICIAN
Pay: $31.00–$42.00/hour

Arbour Counseling Services offers per diem, part time, and full time fee‑for‑service school based opportunities for Spanish/English speaking licensed clinicians or master’s level clinicians working toward licensure in Allston, MA. School Based Clinicians work in elementary, middle, and high schools delivering mental health services to children with needs including trauma, anxiety, and depression. They work closely with school personnel, other treatment providers, and families to provide a quality continuum of care.
This job fits those seeking a flexible schedule and/or supplementary income. Clinicians work in schools across Boston at least 12 hours a week (2 school days) up to 32 hours a week (5 school days). Summer off is possible; clinicians support Boston students during the academic year. Optional home based and/or telehealth summer work available.

- Assess clients or families’ needs and eligibility for services
- Provide individual, family and group therapy sessions according to client needs
- Support clients through collaboration with families, schools, medical providers, state agencies, mental health services, crisis services, and community resources
- Provide case management, referrals, and treatment planning for assigned clients
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related Mental Health field from an accredited college or university
- License eligible preferred (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT)
- Completed an internship during Masters Program to obtain 45 credits
- CANS Certification preferred (can obtain after hiring if needed)
- Nonjudgmental ability to foster self‑sufficiency using problem‑solving and practical skills
- Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight
- Demonstrated sensitivity to clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds
- Excellent time management skills to maintain appointments and timely record keeping
- Citizenship and appropriate work documentation
- Pass CORI and drug test, and other pre‑employment documentation
