ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provide goal-directed, strength-based, and recovery-oriented services in community settings (home, school, etc.).
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education/Licensure- BA/BS degree in Human Services (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and/or a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in a related field may be considered.
- High school Diploma required.
Prior experience working with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
Requirements- Must successfully pass the KBI, Drug screen, and all DCF Central Registry background investigations.
- Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, a good driving record and a reliable vehicle are required.

Physical Requirements
Case Managers must have sufficient ambulatory capabilities to work with children and adolescents in the community-based setting. Position may require the ability to use physical holding (MAB) with children and adolescents exhibiting out of control behaviors.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
WORK ENVIRONMENTOffice and Community-Based working environment; requires flexible schedule; frequent interruptions occur; expected to deal with individuals in crisis; risk of exposure to aggressive and/or acting out (verbal and physical) children and youth, and exposure to low socioeconomic homes and neighborhoods.
This position will be primarily located in community settings with limited at-home work availability for note recording.
