Sentara Health Plans is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as an Insurance Premium Payment Associate!

Full-time, Day Shift

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST, M-F No weekends required

Hybrid work schedule at Sentara Park 1300 in Virginia Beach. After successful completion of onsite training for up to 4 weeks, and depending on performance, the position will have the opportunity to work from home 3 days a week.

Responds to record and process telephonic payment inquiries throughout the day in a higher volume call queue environment. Responsible for taking both initial and ongoing payments for insurance products while maintaining a high level of customer service. Responsible to work in multiple computer programs at a time. Must be able to maintain a high level of service to customers while managing changing volume demands of the call center.

• High school diploma or equivalent

• No specific certification or licensure requirements

• 1-year customer service experience REQUIRED
• Payment and or Billing experience in healthcare is highly preferred
• Computer skills & strong verbal skills in English REQUIRED
• Must have experience in a call center & be detailed-oriented highly preferred
• Healthcare environment experience a plus
• Reliable transportation essential to success in role
