What You’ll Do- As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PT) you will:
- 1-2 years of experience doing PT initial assessments (Some Homecare experience is needed)
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising therapist.
- Assist patients with exercises and mobility techniques to improve strength, coordination, and independence.
- Observe, document, and report patient progress or changes to the supervising therapist and physician.
- Educate patients and their families on safe mobility practices and use of assistive equipment.
- Maintain accurate, timely clinical records in accordance with Bright Star Care standards.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current, valid Massachusetts license to practice as a PT.
- Current CPR/BLS certification, and TB test results.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience; home care experience preferred.
