Job Summary

RAYUS Radiology is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to operate assigned scanner(s) and produce diagnostic images. The role requires a patient‑centered approach, providing PET/CT services within professional standards and delivering excellent customer service. This full‑time position works varied shifts Monday through Saturday.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Screen patients prior to exam, ensuring proper identifiers and precautions.
  • Explain and prepare patients for PET/CT imaging procedures, positioning them appropriately.
  • Perform routine and advanced PET/CT imaging procedures with minimal supervision, supporting patients throughout.
  • Adjust scan parameters, apply dose‑reduction techniques as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring staff, and colleagues.
  • Follow physician orders and safety regulations, ensuring protection of patients and coworkers.
  • Accurately maintain patient records in the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Keep work area orderly, clean, and compliant with safety habits.
  • Maintain ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintain equipment, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance.
  • Prepare, record, and administer radiopharmaceuticals under NRC/State regulations.
  • Administer fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) intravenously to patients.
  • Demonstrate safety‑related work behaviors for a safe environment.
  • Report contamination to Radiation Safety Officer.
Department Support (5%)
  • Maintain updated imaging protocol manual and software upgrades.
  • Monitor medical supply inventory and requisition supplies.
  • Assist with training new associates.
  • Perform and record daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment per ACR and AOA guidelines.
  • Conduct departmental surveys to ensure compliance with radiation standards and NRC/State regulations.

Requirements
  • NMTCB or ARRT registered technologist in Nuclear Medicine, current and in good standing.
  • Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of radiography.
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist in the appropriate state, if applicable.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Training and experience to perform PET/CT procedures independently.
  • Certification in imaging specialty.
Preferred
  • Bilingual.
  • ARRT certification in CT.
  • NMTCB PET Specialty certification.
