Job Summary
The Credit Processor diligently follows the workflows established to properly research, analyze, and resolve undistributed and credit transactions within the EPIC system. Processes all levels of transactions needed for resolution (transfers, posting, offsets, refunds, etc.), using available resources such as workflows, email, Excel, Word, and fee schedules to verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information. Reviews websites, contacts insurance carriers and/or guarantors to update demographics, coverage, and claim information.
Notes accounts with actions taken. Demonstrates accountability, adaptability, and flexibility to changes in processes, assigned tasks, and deadlines.

Work shift:
Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm. Pay Basis:

This position offers a remote work schedule.
- Process undistributed and credit transactions through assigned work queues or reports according to department workflows.
- Resolve transactions (transfers, posting, offsets, refunds, etc.) and verify insurance, patient, and guarantor information using available resources.
- Review websites, contact insurance carriers and/or guarantors, and update demographics, coverage, and claim information.
- Maintain completed account contribution totals daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Maintain ≥97% accuracy rate on audit reviews.
- Review and process weekly HPF insurance refund request letters ensuring deadlines are met.
- Review returned refunds, verify reason codes, coordinate with other departments, and process cancellations, reissues, and applications to escheatment or miscellaneous income.
High school diploma and one‑year revenue cycle work experience required. Prior experience in account analysis, credit resolution, billing, or insurance follow‑up in a hospital or physician office setting preferred, with working knowledge of insurance payor remittances and Epic system knowledge helpful. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills required.
Degree of SupervisionMust work independently under the direction of the Department Supervisor and Manager.
Physical RequirementsContinuous standing, walking, and sitting during job functions. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach, use both hands and legs, and perform repetitive wrist and shoulder motions. Requires 20/40 vision, a latex‑safe environment, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs unassisted and 15 lbs overhead. Must work indoors and in dusty or confined spaces occasionally.
