Remote 340B Program Coordinator
Baptist Health is looking for a remote 340B program coordinator to join our pharmacy team!
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Split-billing software maintenance
- Ensuring that the 340b pharmacy program is continuously compliant with 340b federal regulations
- Developing, executing, and documenting self-audits of the 340b process and coordinating and ensuring remediation of findings
- Reviewing and monitoring all points of service where 340B participation occurs to ensure policy and procedure compliance, covered entity eligibility, and "covered patient" eligibility
- Managing and troubleshooting pharmacy billing issues and ensuring that adequate systems checks are reviewed to prevent billing issues
- Evaluating patient eligibility for qualified and non-qualified patients in hospital-based mixed-use areas by reviewing patient medical records, insurance plans, and hospital status
- Serving as the primary internal program coordinator and liaison for all 340b-related matters
- Assessing opportunities for cost savings and process improvements to yield higher compliance
- Collaborating with system and local leadership to improve and enhance service offerings
- Providing oversight for the implementation of process improvement initiatives
- Monitoring purchasing records and clearly documenting utilization, savings, problem areas, and exceptions or discrepancies
- Monitoring inventory levels to effectively balance product availability and cost-efficient inventory control
- Serving as the point person and coordinator for all mock, HRSA, and manufacturer audits
- Maintaining a current state of "audit readiness"
- Providing oversight for all audits performed by independent external auditors
- Assisting in monitoring reports to ensure compliance with the program
Minimum qualifications and requirements include:
- An associate degree in business or computer science or three years in direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience
- Certification by the pharmacy technician certification board with a Kentucky registry or three years in direct 340B pharmacy coordination experience
- Obtaining pharmacy technician certification within six months
- PTCB certification is required if working on-site in a Baptist Health pharmacy
