Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) – full time

Location:

Atrium Health Anson – 2301 US-74, Wadesboro, NC 28170

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday through Friday; hours may vary; every 3rd weekend included. More details upon interview.

Pay:
Fixed pay rate $18.85 per hour

• Help patients understand their menu selections and work with nursing to ensure orders comply with nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Collaborate with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for patients with allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, or religious preferences, or when inquiring about additional selections.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays from patient rooms at assigned times.
• Comply with regulator agency standards (federal, state, and JCAHO). Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights per HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food, and when cleaning work stations and breaking down the patient tray line.
• Follow facility and department infection control policies and procedures.
• Assist dietitians by monitoring patients who cannot eat orally or are on liquid diets or have specific calorie counts.
• Communicate problems or concerns with patients to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner, following department procedures.
• Complete all required daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in Morrison Healthcare policies and procedures.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver and push food delivery carts.
