Salary Range: $50,500.00 To $74,700.00 Annually

East Arkansas Family Health Center is seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) to join our healthcare team. This position plays a vital role in improving the health and well-being of our patients by providing evidence-based nutrition assessment, education, counseling, and disease prevention services.

The Registered Dietitian works collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized nutrition care plans that support patients with chronic diseases and other nutrition-related conditions. This position also participates in community outreach, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs to advance our mission of providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments, including medical history, laboratory review, dietary intake, and lifestyle evaluation.
  • Develop individualized nutrition care plans based on patient diagnoses, health goals, and social determinants of health.
  • Provide one-on-one and group nutrition counseling using evidence-based practices.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust nutrition care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding patients' nutritional needs.
  • Educate patients and families on healthy eating, disease-specific nutrition, meal planning, and food preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Respond promptly to nutrition referrals and provide consultations in person, by telephone, or at approved outreach locations.
  • Conduct nutrition classes, wellness presentations, and community education events.
  • Develop educational materials, visual aids, and patient resources.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and community outreach programs.
  • Prepare monthly productivity reports and quarterly outcome reports.
  • Assist with nutrition program planning, grant opportunities, budgeting, and evaluation of nutrition-related products and equipment.
  • Travel periodically to off-site clinic locations to provide nutrition services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, Food Science, or a related field required.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD/RDN) credential required.
  • Current Arkansas Dietitian licensure (or eligibility for licensure) required.
  • Completion of an accredited supervised practice program.
  • Experience in a clinical, outpatient, community health, or primary care setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical nutrition therapy and chronic disease management.
  • Excellent communication, patient education, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team.

Work Arrangement

This position is primarily clinic-based to support direct patient care and collaboration with the healthcare team. However, limited remote work may be approved for eligible duties such as telehealth visits, documentation, patient follow-up, and administrative responsibilities, based on operational needs and supervisor approval.

Position:
Full-time, Monday through Friday.
