Role Description This full-time Speech Language Pathologist role is a hybrid position based in Birmingham, MI, with opportunities for some work from home as appropriate and school-based opportunities. The Speech Language Pathologist will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for clients across various age groups. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting evaluations, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy services, and documenting clinical progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
The role involves collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to support carryover of therapy goals and optimize functional outcomes. The clinician will also participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and client-centered practice culture.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency in Speech Therapy, including assessment and treatment of speech sound production and fluency.
- Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders across diverse populations.
- Knowledge and clinical experience in managing Dysphagia and swallowing-related disorders, where applicable.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility for licensure) in Michigan.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA or strong progress toward certification. CFs considered on a case-by-case basis
- Strong documentation skills, adherence to ethical and evidence-based practice, and ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to culturally responsive and gender-neutral, non-discriminatory care.
