Compensation

Salary Range: $12,028 – $13,901 per month

Job Summary

The Forensic Clinical Psychologist is a hybrid/remote position based in Salem, OR. The role involves conducting forensic psychological assessments, preparing reports for courts throughout Oregon based on Oregon statutes, providing expert testimony in Oregon courts, and consulting with agency staff, community members, other state agencies, district attorneys, defense attorneys, and the courts. The psychologist also develops, oversees, and presents professional education seminars within Oregon State Hospital and collaborates with other psychologists at the hospital, participating in peer review in the psychology department.

Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited university.
  • Completion of a one-year internship in Clinical Psychology.
  • Licensed to practice psychology in Oregon.
Desired Attributes
  • Experience working with forensic and psychiatric inpatient populations with histories of severe mental illness, including high‑risk correctional populations referred for forensic evaluations.
  • Experience conducting forensic evaluations, including fitness to proceed and criminal responsibility evaluations.
  • Familiarity with Oregon Revised Statutes, Oregon Administrative Rules, and APA ethical standards and guidelines relevant to forensic psychology.
  • Experience collaborating with a team of psychologists.
  • Ability to participate in continuing education to maintain professional competencies.
Preference

Preference may be extended to candidates who possess experience conducting forensic evaluations.

Additional Details
  • Full‑time, permanent, SEIU‑represented position.
  • Hybrid work arrangement.
  • Employment contingent upon a criminal background check meeting OHA criteria.
  • Salary range is the non‑PERS qualifying range; PERS qualification increases salary by 6.95%.
  • Position does not provide visa sponsorship; applicants must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • OHA does not permit the use of external resources, including AI tools, during assessments or interviews unless explicitly approved.
