The Bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist is a full-time hybrid role based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area, with a combination of on-campus and work-from-home responsibilities. Day-to-day tasks include assessing students for speech, language, and communication disorders, conducting bilingual evaluations, and developing individualized treatment plans and goals. The role involves providing direct therapy services to pediatric school-aged students, collaborating with teachers, families, and support staff to integrate services into the educational environment, and participating in IEP meetings and progress reviews.
The Speech-Language Pathologist documents services, maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, and contributes to a positive, inclusive school culture that supports multilingual learners.
- Strong skills in Speech Therapy and Speech, with the ability to provide evidence-based interventions.
- Expertise in Communication Disorders and Articulation, including assessment and treatment planning.
- Experience working with Pediatrics, particularly in school-based or educational settings.
- Fluency in English and another language (such as Spanish) to provide bilingual assessments and therapy.
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist and appropriate certification (e.g., ASHA CCC‑SLP or equivalent).
- Knowledge of special education processes, IEP development, and relevant state and federal regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a diverse, multicultural school community.
- Comfort with using technology for documentation, teletherapy when needed, and communication with families and staff.
