Fancher Psychology is a boutique mental health private practice in Wilmette just north of Chicago. We provide therapy services for children, families, teens, adults and couples experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, ADHD, parenting struggles and relationship challenges. The practice is committed to delivering effective, evidence-informed care in a supportive and collaborative environment. Clients are offered individualized treatment and care tailored to their specific needs and goals.
Role DescriptionThe Therapist will have interest and experience treating children, teens and adults. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering psychotherapy sessions, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, and collaborating with colleagues on case consultation and best practices. The role also involves coordinating care with external providers when needed and participating in periodic team meetings and professional development activities.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in the Greater Chicago Area, with a combination of in-office sessions and some work-from-home flexibility for telehealth services.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Illinois license (e.g., LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, PsyD/PhD) or eligibility for licensure within a reasonable timeframe.
- Demonstrated skills in providing therapy for anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, using evidence-informed approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, SPACE).
- Strong assessment, case formulation, and treatment planning abilities, including maintaining clear clinical notes and adhering to ethical and legal standards.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse clients, maintain professional boundaries, and communicate effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.
- Comfort with telehealth platforms and basic technology for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
- Willingness to work a full-time schedule that may include some evening hours to meet client needs.
