Overview
Sentara Health is seeking a Full‑Time, day shift Monitor Tech for Telemetry Monitor Surveillance at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA. The role is full time, day shift, 36 hours per week.

Work ShiftFirst (Days)
ResponsibilitiesObserves, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry‑monitored patients to detect deviations from patient’s norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to the full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.
Education- High school diploma and completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course (required).
- Alternatively, high school diploma and 1 year of experience in monitor technician surveillance within the last 5 years may be accepted in lieu of a program/course.
- Candidates without a program must complete a certificate program within 90 days of hire.
- All Monitor Technicians must successfully complete the Sentara Basic Arrhythmia competency tool which includes passing a basic arrhythmia exam before release from orientation.
- 1 year of experience in monitor technician surveillance/EKG monitoring within the last 5 years may be accepted in lieu of a program/course.
