Overview
Sentara Health is hiring an experienced Phlebotomist - Clinical Lab Assistant to work part‑time days in Central Testing at Sentara Independence.
Schedule- Mon – Fri 7 am – 11 am
- Rotating Saturdays 8 am – noon
Virginia Beach, VA – Sentara Independence
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform patient phlebotomy while maintaining the highest level of customer service. Collect, label, and process patient specimens for testing. Responsible for registration and test data entry. Monitor supply levels.
Qualifications- High School Graduate or Equivalent (required)
- Phlebotomy course (preferred)
- Phlebotomy certification (preferred)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- 1 year of experience (preferred)

Sentara Independence provides quality outpatient services to the surrounding community. The facility includes an ambulance‑accessible emergency room supported by board‑certified physicians and houses state‑of‑the‑art medical equipment, highly‑skilled physicians and staff. It extends the services of Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, including advanced imaging and physical therapy.
